Colleen Nash Becht is a full-time watercolorist living on the Treasure Coast of Florida.  She studied Fine Art at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, then returned home to the Treasure Coast to pursue her many interests.  As recently as eight years ago, Colleen rediscovered her passion for painting and swiftly developed an individual expression through watercolor.

 In order to keep her work alive and fresh, she continues to paint a variety of subject matter. She enjoys working with close up images which indicate strong color, light and shadow.  Her unique style and perspectives have insured that her work has found quick recognition with a strong demand for its ownership, both locally and internationally.  It is her use of color and control of the medium capturing intricate detail which has become the signature in her award-winning work.

In 2007, Colleen was recognized and published by International Artist's Magazine. In 2010, Colleen created the artwork for the new wine label “UNWINED”.   In 2011, Colleen was chosen to create a water color painting for the cover of the St. Lucie Tourism Guide. Most recently, Colleen will be published in the December 2011 Artist’s Magazine and also Marlin Magazine.
